I reached out to Scheel's and, much like every other online retailer (as I purchased via the web-site) they asked for proof of non-delivery. After taking a picture of the rod, sans reel, they provided a return receipt and even allowed me to wait for the replacement combo so I could use the packaging to return the original non-combo rod. After receiving the complete combo I set it up and after a few pre-cursory casts it's working great. Thank you Scheels!
