I figured out a way to try and correct it so my 13 yr old could still use it. The tee has not held up under a limited amount of backyard hitting practice by an 11 year old. In warmer temperatures the rubber stand becomes so flexible that it cannot stand up straight even without a baseball placed on top. The top rubber piece that the ball is supposed to sit on broke off a month ago. I would not recommend purchasing this product at any price.","textLength":475,"csFlag":false,"inappropriateFlag":false,"reviewedFlag":false,"autoModerated":false,"published":true,"incentivized":false,"upVotes":0,"downVotes":1,"orderId":null,"dimensions":[],"responses":[],"tags":[],"media":{"photo":[],"video":[],"audio":[]},"user":{"nickName":"OhioDad","firstName":null,"lastName":null,"emailAddress":null,"externalId":null,"city":null,"state":null,"country":null,"ageRange":null,"badge":null,"shopperProfiles":[]},"reviewedDate":null,"purchaseDate":null,"dateCreated":"2022-06-20T00:00:00-04:00","customData":[],"incentiveType":null,"campaign":null,"deviceFingerprint":null,"topics":[{"name":"performance","score":0.41},{"name":"batting practice","score":0.41},{"name":"ball positioning","score":0.49}],"syndication":{"sourceName":"SKLZ","siteUrl":"https://www.sklz.com/","logoUrl":"https://images.turnto.com/site/syndicationlogos/4941_LH48.png"},"catalogItems":[{"sku":"831345-0935","title":"SKLZ 5-Position Tee V2","url":"https://www.scheels.com/p/831345-0935","category":"baseball-batting-tees","reviewCount":30,"ratingCount":30,"averageRating":2.6,"ratingBreakdown":{"1":8,"2":6,"3":8,"4":7,"5":1},"active":true,"attributes":[]}]},{"id":5420567,"locale":"en_US","rating":4,"title":"my first impression","text":"baseball is my first love. i always loved the feeling of blasting the ball smack on the sweet spot of the bat. as a mature person (I'm 70) i work out at a local gym at least 4 or 5 days a week. another part of my physical conditioning and maintenance is making sure my eye hand coordination is solid. i like going in the backyard soft tossing wiffle and junk balls to myself place hitting and/or ripping my bat speed for dead pull hit bullets. soon i want to try going to a batting cage and try hitting a pitched ball so to practice keeping my eye on the ball i decided i need a tee. i bought the SKLZ 5 position V2. using a plastic, light, wiffle and/or junk ball is reasonably safe practicing in my small apartment. the tee assembly was easy to figure out (i'm not sure what that little 4th part is used for?) anyway after putting the tee together i tried a few swings and made good contact. later i sped up my bat speed swinging wildly as though a was served a cookie. if the ball is topped physics rules and the ball harmlessly rolls, i suppose gently to the pitcher. if the ball is undercut the bat, physics again, the ball pops up, the bat also hitting the top of the tee. if i swing, wildly \"out of my shoes\", and miss the bat gets all tee. it doesn't hurt. the tee just bends forward. i can see this being a wear and tear durability issue. i figured out if i use an empty toilet or paper towel cardboard tube and shaped one of the ends into a funnel and placing it at the tee top, i can swing fast and hard at the ball minimizing the shock and possible long term use damage and i suppose possible injury, on the rare occasion i swing and miss, completely. if i undercut the ball the cardboard tube flies away harmlessly. the real benefit of my original design improvement is when generating high bat speeds and i get all ball nothing moves only the ball everything else stays in place. sweet, solid contact achieved. soon perhaps i'll face a pitched ball at the batting cage. for the money, for my purposes, the SKLZ tee is an ok product. i can see using a real baseball and wood or metal bat will take its toll on the tee. try my design addition experiment.","textLength":2198,"csFlag":false,"inappropriateFlag":false,"reviewedFlag":false,"autoModerated":false,"published":true,"incentivized":false,"upVotes":0,"downVotes":0,"orderId":null,"dimensions":[],"responses":[],"tags":[],"media":{"photo":[],"video":[],"audio":[]},"user":{"nickName":"davey glad reversad","firstName":null,"lastName":null,"emailAddress":null,"externalId":null,"city":null,"state":null,"country":null,"ageRange":null,"badge":null,"shopperProfiles":[]},"reviewedDate":null,"purchaseDate":null,"dateCreated":"2022-04-11T00:00:00-04:00","customData":[],"incentiveType":null,"campaign":null,"deviceFingerprint":null,"topics":[{"name":"batting practice","score":0.6},{"name":"durability","score":0.53},{"name":"design","score":0.47},{"name":"ball positioning","score":0.47},{"name":"swing mechanics","score":0.46}],"syndication":{"sourceName":"SKLZ","siteUrl":"https://www.sklz.com/","logoUrl":"https://images.turnto.com/site/syndicationlogos/4941_LH48.png"},"catalogItems":[{"sku":"831345-0935","title":"SKLZ 5-Position Tee V2","url":"https://www.scheels.com/p/831345-0935","category":"baseball-batting-tees","reviewCount":30,"ratingCount":30,"averageRating":2.6,"ratingBreakdown":{"1":8,"2":6,"3":8,"4":7,"5":1},"active":true,"attributes":[]}]},{"id":5420565,"locale":"en_US","rating":2,"title":"The quality of the tee that is now being offered.","text":"Had an older model of SKLZ 5 position tee, which was made much stronger. This model is made much cheaper, would not purchase, again. They've held up to a lot of abuse but it is time to replace them. The same tee is now made with thin rubber and wont even stand up straight to hold a ball. The top split within the season and there is no replacement for it.
