It was a very easy decision because the hunting and fishing department is staffed with knowledgeable professionals that respect your time and act like they actually want to assist you with your purchase. Sportsman’s warehouse was ridiculously overpriced and bass pro shop was overpriced and their gun counter acts like they’re doing you a favor by even acknowledging your existence. No one in the metro had the M1a in stock, so I knew this would be an on line purchase, NOT the way I prefer to buy anything. I knew what I needed to know about this historic rifle so I went on line and made my selection. The website was easy to navigate and the process was simple. I had concerns that they wouldn’t give me a shipping arrival date but 4 days later I received a notice that my gun was ready for pickup. We went to the store, straight to the gun service counter and were helped immediately. The guy, wish I could remember his name, was friendly and professional. He got us right to a computer to fill out the ATF federal paperworkand by the time I was finished with that, my background check was done and I was ready to roll. They held my rifle in the back room for me so I could take my wife to lunch at the cheesecake factory. We came back through the store, picked up the gun and left the store very satisfied, just as I expected would be the case. Expect lines, people obviously use Scheels because they have great customer service. You will need patience if you have questions for an employee about your purchase.
