Best day pack I’ve ever owned
Functions perfectly and allows organization of gear and equipment. Zippers and buckles are strong, frame is light yet rigid. I was able to comfortably carry my rain gear, spotting scope, puff suit, water, food, knives, and medical equipment with room to spare and ease of access to all of it.

Great hunting pack
Got to put my stone glacier pack to use these last few weeks and appreciate this quality product.. lots of straps but put them all to use elk hunting and horse packing. Heavy duty material held up in Colorado high country conditions!

Got this to use mainly as a pack for saddle hunting. Holds 4 Beast sticks and a Predator platform perfectly. Will work great as a day pack when I go out west next year as well.

Hunting day pack
Bought this pack and took it out west the next week for opening week of Nebraska bow season. Made a terrific day pack and super comfortable. It held everything I needed and the weight distribution is great. Just don’t forget to buy the hydro sleeve for camel pack.

Avail
The Avail 2200 was purchased with edc and day hunting on an Xcurve in mind. I find it to be well made and sewn. Interior pocket layout with an added cordura pocket is a great setup. It is not as comfortable as the Xcurve frame, for me. The shoulder pads against the back tend to flare out a bit causing the stays to protrude a bit, near the X, rubbing near the spine. Seems to get better with break in and more weight. The huge missed opportunity on this pack is the missing Nalgene sized pocket on the side, like the 5900. Rather, this pack has one side with no pocket and the other side has a pocket designed for the tip of a tripod. This pocket however is tucked almost under the bag and almost unuseable. The other issue I have is the single belt strap. Rather than having two on the sides as the Xcurve, the single strap rides in the lower position. This makes a belt pocket ride too low. Overall a solid pack and well built. Raingear rides nicely in the quick access sling, the size is perfect for day trips and does not have a tactical appearance, drawing attention. Customer service is top notch, shipping was fast!

Avail 2200 perfection
Have used this this summer scouting and hiking. It is awesome so much better than most non-frame day packs . You can actually adjust it to fit you perfectly, bought a similar sized KUIU…it is one size fits all, and that never works. The SG is built like a tank, very sturdy and belt very comfortable! Couldn’t be more happy!

Avail 2200
Looks great and feels better. I’ve bought Mystery Ranch and Kuiu day packs that are comparable. They’re very nice, but this pack is hands down better. It’s inherently flat where the other are not. It’s got more than enough straps and clips. I’ve used it on scouting trips and hiking trips. Even used it on beach vacation. Will be using it this fall on long public hog hunts as well. Couldn’t ask for a bette pack. I knew it would be as I have the XCurve frame and the sky 6900 which is equally is not more impressive. I’ve had incredible customer service as well. Talk to a real person who knows the gear well. Thanks again Stone Glacier

Possible Life Saver
Took it to the total archery challenge this year down in Terry Peak. Loved the fit first off, secondly weather it makes a difference or not the pack nearly saved my life this weekend. It was raining all weekend and we were doing the prime course where there were alot of jagged rocks that we had to walk over through the beginning of the course. I slipped backwards on a wet forward facing rock that kicked my feet out from under me and the pack was definitely a factor in keeping my head from hitting one of the thousands of sharp rocks that possibly could have split the back of my head open. Regardless of pack i would have been wearing it took the brunt of 180lbs landing on it with no issues and not even a scratch. Awesome product, keep up the good work.
