The StrikeMaster LiteFlite Lazer 40V Ice Auger drills holes cleanly and quickly. Watch the video to see this lightweight auger in action.
Lightweight but durable, the StrikeMaster Lite-Flite LazerTM Drill Unit Ice Auger drills holes quickly to get you fishing faster. This cordless auger can be powered by an electric power drill or a StrikeMaster ice auger powerhead for greater versatility. The full-length, synthetic flighting reduces the weight of the drill auger, while the molded blade attachment provides the optimal cutting angle without the need for readjustments. For strength and durability, this StrikeMaster Lite-Flite features a heavy-duty steel hex shaft and reinforced "T" connection to the carriage. A unique Power Point drill tip keeps the drill in place for smoother, more consistent drilling. The serrated stainless steel LazerTM auger blades provide a smooth, clean-cut for optimal ice hole shape and size. For an easy-to-transport but highly efficient ice auger, try the StrikeMaster Lite-Flite LazerTM Drill Unit.
I've used my auger multiple times and drilled around 60 holes thru about 16" of ice. It works fantastic. It does take the right drill with enough power to work properly. I had to grind the small ridge off the top of the adapter to get it to fit in the chuck of my Milwaukee drill properly. After that I'm ready to sell my gas auger
I had been keeping my eye on this arrangement : a light weight auger driven by a cordless drill. I was very skeptical. Fast forward the past year. I have now sold both my gas powered augers and replaced with two electric and I just love it. I am 70 and have stage IV cancer so I needed to cut weight from my sled. Done! Excellent
Only reason for the 4 star is the unit kept loosening until I put lock tight on the threads and all problems solved. Love the weight versus a gas auger. Paired it with a DeWalt dcd996 drill. Drilled 46 holes today with a 5 ah battery and only used one light on the battery fuel tank. I would recommend to anyone looking for a light weight drill.
