The material is a very slick polypropylene so every fluid from your mouth and nose collects on the surface rather than be absorbed and dissipated. The collective, slimy mess is a hassle so I'm not sure if I'll ever find it useful.\nBTW - For comparison, I use a Stiker Promo facemask that includes the polar fleece lining.
