I went and bought a box of 25 .45 LC and a box of 25 .410 shells respectively to test shoot it at the range. I must say at first, the trigger pull is pretty heavy, but once you get used to it, you know when it's going to fire. The recoil of the .45 LC isn't all that bad and the grouping is \"fairly accurate\" with a barrel only being 2\" long. With that being said, it's a close-range weapon, so I was shooting at 15 to 20 feet for a first-time shooter for this gun. I went through the whole box of .45 LC shells and my wrists were a little shaky, and now it was time for the .410 shells. The very first thing I noticed that I was going to have to modify was get a Hogue grip to fit my pinky finger in the future, which I eventually did, and it works GREAT. So, now it's off to shooting shotgun shells out of a revolver with a 2\" barrel...AM I NUTS because I've NEVER done such a crazy thing. I loaded it with .000 (because that's all the range allows), held the gun tight and steady, got to the point of no return with the trigger, it hit the firing pin, and that thing went off like a CANNON !!! LOL It felt like I broke my wrist because I was NOT expecting that. I got a different grip, finished the rest of the shots one by one, and it put did massive damage to the target...granted it was paper at close range. Fortunately, I WAS able to finish off the rest of the box and it put holes all over that target. I would NOT want to be on the receiving end of this weapon. Conceal carry size? YES. Change to a bigger hand grip to accommodate your pinky finger? YES. Best load? Probably a slug or .000. It would do TREMENDOUS DAMAGE to an enemy and immediately neutralize the threat. Other barrel lengths are available and other options as well, but for me, this was a no-brainer. Even my wife wanted to shoot it and didn't do too bad, although she complained that both wrists hurt after shooting only about 10 shots. LOL. But like I said in my \"Review Title,\" this revolver is TRULY a MASSIVE HAND CANNON and I love it !!!
