Assorted fletching colors of Yellow, Red and Green.
The Pro Elite 400 20-inch carbon crossbow arrow is fletched slightly offset and is fitted with a 61-grain aluminum insert, 3.5. Bohning X Vanes™ and TenPoint’s white Alpha-Nock and receiver for quick lighted nock installation. Pro Elite shafts are inspected for straightness to within .003 and hand-sorted for weight tolerance to within 2-grains per dozen.
I bought these bolts for my Viper S400 because I wanted to see if they shot accurate and straight because everyone recommended the 445 grain bolts that come with the Viper. To me speed and accuracy kills. I shot both bolts and both shoot good but the 400 grain bolt gives more speed, has the same KE as the 445 gr bolt and way less money! I shot 4 deer with my Tenpoint viper S400 last season and only found 1 bolt because they blew thru the deer and kept going shooting from a ground blind, the 1 I found was shot from a tree stand and it stuck in the ground. I think for deer the 400 gr bolt works great.
The arrow bolts are okay The alpha nock is the best I love The fletching are not good for me. With the target point I have two inches group at 30 yards. I have to remove all of the vanes and fletch it again. and now I have one inch group at 50 yards I'm not recommend it to others people if they don't know the problem and know how to fix it
Scheels provides great communication and the arrows were delivered quickly.
Immediately out of the package, something seemed off. I noticed the arrows had aluminum inserts. Normally these quality arrows would have brass inserts. Several of the inserts were protruding (not inserted fully) and there were visible scrapes on the ends of the arrows near the inserts prior to use.
The arrows I received also came with plastic nocks. I ordered aluminum because the plastic break. Also, the plastic Tenpoint alpha nocks require a bead on the nock to align with an arrow fletching. This was not possible on one of the arrows and it would not shoot close to true.
Out of 6 arrows, maybe 2 are usable. It wouldn't be responsible to use these arrows to hunt. Save your money. Do not order.
These were an improvement over the aluminum shafts that came with the Wicked Ridge crossbow. I believe after a year of use and pulling the arrows from the block target, the aluminum shafts were slightly bent and accuracy dropped off. The effects were exaggerated when broadheads were attached. Switching to these, all shots were dead on and there was no change from field tips to braodheads. The only criticism (and the reason my review is not 5 stars) is the ease by which the alpha-nocks come off. My first shot into the block to the nock. I had to pull the arrow out from the back and the nock is now somewhere in the block. Overall still pleased, guess I'll just have to buy extra nocks.
These shoot predictably well. The alpha nocks are a decent shooting nock but they come off way too easily and if you are using the lighted ones, they'll turn on with the slightest nudge. I did lose a white tail using these. I must've hit bone. The arrow snapped in half. I was able to retrieve the lighted nock at least. The fletching is pretty big and it's very easy to shoot holes in the vanes if you're grouping shots while practicing. Four of the six I bought shot accurately. You have to test them out because there will be one or two bad ones.
Three bolts of the six I bought group well at 30 yards. The other three seem to group okay but about 4” to the left of the other three. At 30 yards this shouldn’t be happening. Will probably return or swap what I recently ordered. Be sure to shoot all your bolts prior to going into the field for this very reason.
These Crossbow bolts are awesome they shoot very very straight out of my Ten Point Turbo M1. Also they are build really good. Also Ten Point had very fast shipping. Can't wait to use them on a whitetail and not just a target.
