I thought the wrenches would be quality-made, but for the price, I perhaps should have known better. Recently, I used the 10mm torx wrench to remove a scope mount. While one screw I was trying to remove was a little tight, I was not overly torquing it. However, the tip sheered off in the screw head. I contacted Wheeler, told them what happened, and asked them to send me a new one. They said they would do it if I sent a picture of the broken wrench and proof of purchase. The material is way too soft and I plan on sending them back to Amazon. I was replacing the sight plate for a red dot optic. It was a mess trying to get it out of the bolt. This was the only wrench I used out of the set and am not planning on using any more of them for this reason. I was very excited about it, until I used it. The ball ends have now snapped off 4 of the keys; they still work, but the point of a ball end is to allow some lateral movement without camming out of, or stripping, the screw. That function is gone now. \r\n\r\nOn top of the poor quality construction, the layout of the set leaves a lot to be desired. You have to pull out one of the back row keys to get the front row out to use. The really tiny ones are a bit silly but they work. They have a nice ball end on them and they seem to be sized accurately. The stand is compact but it does require you to have to remove the upper wrenches to pull the lower wrenches out. These are not for automotive mechanics or overly heavy use. Theyre not made for that kind of torque. But for gunsmithing and other small jobs theyre great. Simple hex keys will bend under torque while one of these snapped.
