I was perfectly comfortable!! What a great jacket! While I'm not crazy about the look of the shiny silver inner lining, it does seem to retain warmth without feeling overheated. Also, I love the pockets. Several reviewers said they would prefer the convenience of side pockets but I found the upright pockets are better at keeping things (like keys, phone, doggie bags, etc) from falling out while walking. Also, the upper hidden chest pocket is a bonus. I'm 5'5\", 135 lbs and bought a size L jacket. Fits just fine with a heavy sweater or a couple of lighter layers underneath. If you live in a cold climate, I highly recommend it for the warmth. I wanted something that was a little longer to cover my back side but that also had a two-way zipper I live in the ever ned to use the northeast and never nee o put the seat warmer on in my car. I love the fact that it reflects your body heat. I hav gotten a li of compliments on it and people love the “sparkle” of the inside. I’ve been toying with the idea of taking a trip to see the European Christmas markets in the next coupons of years but didn’t think I’d ever be warm enough. It kept getting jammed. The last 4 weeks I was able to wear the jacket, I didn't feel like it kept me warm either. I live in the northeast, and so far winter has been mild. My similar Abercrombie parka keeps me much warmer. But I’ve wanted a longer jacket for awhile. I’ve always loved Columbia. I like the style of this jacket, so I got one. The description isn’t lying when it says long- it goes to my knees. The dual zipper is great and the snaps are sturdy. The hood wuth the fur covers most of my face, but if I remove the fur, it’s perfect. I tried it on inside my house and didn’t want to take it off, it was so warm. It could definitely fit over a sweatshirt well. I live in chicago and have been wearing it in 30-20 degree weather and I can feel the cold on my arms. I don’t think this “Omni heat” thing works very well. Love the jacket. My only complaints would be the lower pockets don’t have a side entrance only from top. It is sort of uncomfortable when trying to keep warm to place hands in from top. The threading also has come apart on the pocket so my finger has poked through. Other than that it has kept me warm in cold weather. I bought a small and I am 125 and 5’5” and it’s a bit more form fitting meaning not baggy. Arrived yesterday. I wanted to Love this jacket. WAY TOO MANY design flaws. The cuffs- while they say adjustable they are gigantic. I’m a big boned Nortic woman- not fat honest big bones. No inner cuff so wind goes all the way up sleeve. The hood is also gigantic. The toggles on the hood do not hold in the least. The hand pockets are completely unlined, and only entry is from above. It is the most awkward placement with no practical purpose at all. I wore it because it got me through the season. When this coat went on sale, I ordered a size lower and I absolutely love this coat. The hood is detachable for washing. The Omni-flash technology keeps me warm while I'm waiting for the bus on winter days and I love the stone color as it keeps me visible to cars in the evenings. I love this coat!
