I spent HOURS on hold with customer service trying to get authorization to do a return or exchange and was never able to get through to a representative. I also emailed the address provided on my receipt and followed the instructions for requesting return authorization (now several weeks ago) and never heard back.\n\nOnce it became clear I wasn't going to be able to return the boots, I tried wearing them for a couple of days to break them in. They are just too tight in the toe box. Im usually a 6.5 or 7, depending on the brand, and ordered these in a 7. There doesnt seem to be a trend of these running small per other reviews, so I dont know what went wrong with this pair. I dont have wide feet, and this is not a fit issue I've had in any other work or chelsea boots I've ever owned.\n\nThey look beautiful. Wish I could wear them. Great Fit. I'd change ONE thing.","text":"I bought these from Amazon, because I often could not find them here on the Georgia Boot site. They are smooth leather, and the insoles create a perfect fit - I usually wear a size 8.5 wide, but the Medium width is fine. I would change just one thing about them: put a little padding where the front strap meets the top of the boot. They seem well-constructed, but poorly designed for women's feet. I bought them because they are waterproof and have good tread. The insole that comes with the boots is useless. I put some supportive insoles in them and it helps to add arch support and take up some of the volume of the boot. Without these, the boots are sloppy, and not very supportive. I purchased a size 7.5 Medium width. The length is perfect, but the width is too wide for a woman's foot. (They do not come in a narrow width.) I wanted to love these but I won't be buying them again for work. These boots are a man's boot, made in smaller sizes and marketed to women. If you love the look of a chelsea, but your larger than average ankles are making them uncomfortable, this boot is for you! These boots are super comfy, very cute and stylish and the quality is excellent. I tried Blundstones and was very dismayed at the lack of shock absorption in the insole and how extremely tight they were on my cankles. Georgia Boots in a wide worked perfect for me.
