I live in Texas so 98% of the year is sandal weather. I have LIVED in these sandals. They are just now coming apart. The smoky blue color is my version of a natural color and goes with absolutely everything. I wear these literally everywhere, all year round for nearly 6 years. The rubber toe bumper thing keeps my toes and upper feet safe while the sandals portion enables my feet to breath. I've gone to weddings, hiking, church, etc. They have carried me through 4 pregnancies & post partum with every other shoe stops fitting or hurts my foot. If I had to pick one shoe to wear forever it would be these. The three pairs of 8. 5 that I have are slightly big. I gave my hiking boots to my daughter, and she just loves them. The other two pairs of sandals I can wear. The half size larger isn't too big of a deal.
