I love this jacket! Perfect for spring and probably fall also. I love that it is lightly lined with fleece type material so I can wear it over short sleeve shirts and still be warm. I live in Michigan and this is perfect for our unpredictable spring weather, keeps you warm with layering when the inevitable 3rd winter comes (as I write this we had a snow storm 2 days ago with freezing temps and today its 65 degrees ;). Its a great versatile jacket. True to size, im 5'6" 140lb and wearing a medium, its very stylish and tailored fit. Material is very nice and seems durable, I got the white and it feels like to type of material that will resist stains and moisture. I've worn it in the rain and it kept me dry. The only thing I kind of don't like is the hood, it seems like its not deep enough and always falls back behind my head a little. There are nice drawstrings on it that I have not messed with yet so maybe that will help but its just a little awkward. Overall its a great jacket, I'm thinking about getting one in black too!
I absolutely love the feel and fit of this jacket. It is cut so well for a women's body and does not make you look boxy like other jackets. This is my second jacket. I also have the cream colored one. Love Love Love.
This is an awesome medium weight jacket. It is perfect for light rain or cool weather. The hood is fantastic and the fit is very flattering. If you plan to wear anything bulky underneath, I would size up. Small is my usual size but I couldn’t fit a sweatshirt underneath.
I like the length and style of this jacket and I love that it keeps me dry. However, the nylon zipper is so weak! I rarely even bother zipping it up any anymore because movement causes the zipper to separate here and there. Each time this happens, I'm forced to risk destroying the zipper to remove the jacket or must remove the jacket as if it were a pullover.
Great length on this jacket (easily covers when I wear leggings - I’m 5’4”), it’s extremely flattering and stylish, repels a light rain when I walk the dog in it. I really love it I just wish it had a smoother lining instead of the tightly woven fleece like one it has—makes it harder to get on and off. Cozy if you have a tee on under it, but resists too much with a long sleeve. All Kuhl products are designed so well just wish this had a different lining.
This jacket is styled to match a woman’s body style in that it’s drawn in thru the midsection and more roomy thru the hips. A Medium would fit someone sized 8-12. It wouldn’t necessarily be waterproof, but water repellent to a degree. Love the soft exterior material and lining inside the jacket.
I like the look and fabric of this jacket but the sleeves were too short and too tight and I have very slim arms. I'm not sure how anyone could wear a long sleeved sweater or a watch under this jacket.
Love this jacket. It has everything I wanted for spring/fall "shoulder" seasons here in Minnesota. Very well-made, as usual, and stylish. The overall cut is very slim...I had to go up one size in this one-- from XS (my usual Kuhl size) to S. Hope the re-order gets here soon!
This coat is well constructed. Unlike other winter coat, it feels light and soft, while keeps me warm. Two-tone color (white) was not captured well in picture. It is a really nice color in person. I ordered both small and medium, despite my usual size being small. I like my coat to be a little roomy and considering extra layers underneath, I kept the medium.
Got this in the sage green, so Comfortable, material is flexible yet durable, easy style with perfectly placed seams that contour the frame. I’m a more athletic/curvy build and often have a hard time finding a coat that “does anything” for me- this one flatters really beautifully. I’ve got muscular shoulders/back but went with the small and it stretches flexibly for me. Love this weight for transitional temps, could see it working anywhere from 30-50 degree mornings. Cozy enough for walks along Lake Michigan in Chicago, cuts the wind well. If you prefer a more urban/ fitted look but want a sporty functionality that would work on a hike on the elements, go with your gut and treat yourself to this well-designed coat.
This jacket is so comfortable. It fits perfect and what I like most is the length. Also the pockets are huge, so my phone fits comfortably. I bought a M and a L and the M fit great. I was worried because I have DD chest.
I run a business and have chosen these jackets as a perk for employees that have been with us for a certain period of time. We chose, and have continued to use these jackets b/c all who have received them LOVE them for their comfort, appearance and utility. We will continue to purchase them for as long as they are available. Please don't discontinue anytime soon, or ever!!!
Of the many Kuhl items I’ve bought (and loved), this jacket is the first I’ve needed to return. The fit is all wrong. The waist is too low, the hip width is too compressed (the jacket is, and I am, a small), the sleeves too long. So it’s both too big AND too small. Also, the fabric in the rear feels flimsy. The styling looked great in the photos and I had high hopes. Perhaps the next jacket will be up to the Kuhl standard.
The quality and color are spot on with this coat. I am 6'1" and 148 lbs so find it really hard to find clothes that are long enough in the arms and small enough in the body. I love Kuhl brand for this reason, they tend to be a bit longer than other brands. I have the Spitfire series and they are perfect in the arms. I debated on keeping this trench as the arms were significantly shorter. I did keep it because I love the color and stretch of the jacket but I do find myself pulling on the sleeves all the time.
I bought this coat for a trip to Iceland, thinking that a "trench" coat would protect me from rain. Boy, was I wrong! This fabric might be resistant to a few drops but not to rain. I was left soaking wet including all the layers I had underneath!!! I was simply drenched and got sick on my trip. In addition, this fabric took forever to dry. Highly disappointed! The second star is for the fit - it is complimenting more than others. Would not recommend this coat.
I was replacing an older Kuhl coat, and I was happy to find that this one was the same color inside rather than having a bright blue lining, The fabric texture is really nice, and I think that it's a versatile design. This coat allows the best freedom of movement of any rainy/windy day coat that I have ever had.
