I have loved other Kuhl items, but these pants are SO stiff. I mean, I can remember brand new Levi's back in the day before they were all prewashed, and they felt like a blanket compared to these pants. Stiff like a board, rough, completely unsuitable for work that requires climbing, bending, reaching, etc. I don't know how many washes it takes for them to soften up, but I don't have that time. I am 5\"2-120# and they fit great and have a really attractive silhouette. I also have three pairs of TRKR pants in the same size that I absolutely love and was pleased when these had a similar fit. Fit just wasn't there for me so will be returning. For reference, I'm 5'5\" and 120-125 lbs, 25\" waist and 36\" hips, athletic but definitely have a bum/bigger hips. I ordered a 2 with a 30\" inseam and could barely get the pants over my hips. The problem was once they got over my hips, they gaped at the waist and at crotch and had several inches of extra fabric in both places. Would have considered going down a size but there's no way I'd be able to get a smaller size over my hips!
