You’re better off saving your money and buying the non-waterproof ones and proofing them yourself. If you advertise waterproof, they should be waterproof not water resistant. After having to replace my old pair that I had for a few months due to delamination issues around the toe box, these boots seem to be heading in the same direction. I am a botanist, so I have to squat to look at things on the ground frequently. The toe box on these boots is so flexible that if you do that, it will collapse in on itself and create a permanent crease that pushes into the tops of your toes. I am so sad that this also happened to this pair of boots! It was my first pair of this style. When I put them on at first it was like this is great. Same as the shoes. Unfortunately as I was walking I felt that the boots were too wide. My feet slid around. I do have some room to tighten them . I will try again when the weather cools down. I can always use them for my yard work boots if they don’t work for hiking. Unfortunately I found the foot bed hard & not really supportive. I was disappointed after reading so many good things about them. You also definitely have to wear high socks as one side rubbed my ankle raw after wearing them only one day. To be completely honest I am always looking for a good hiking boot. I bought these & a higher pair of Keen waterproof boots for a trip to AK. The Keens completely outshined you. Comfortable, supportive & lightweight. I wore them the entire trip & retired your pair after day one. (I'm sorry). I also have to say I tripped (twice) with the side hooks catching the lace on the opposite shoe. The look of them is a 10, but there is nothing else I can really say otherwise. After trying several new pair of shoes without relief, I bought my first pair of Oboz shoes 6 months ago. They have really helped tremendously with my foot pain. I don't have total relief because my feet go back to hurting whenever I'm not wearing my Oboz. Today I bought the Oboz sawtooth II mid boots because I feel like I can finally start hiking again.
