My intent was to get a puffy jacket that fit closer to my body as I have another one that fits slightly larger from another company. The xxs had the better fit for what I wanted. It is well tapered in the waist and arms. I can still fit heavy, bulky sweaters under the jacket, but also use it as a layer to warm up after a skin uphill where I have lesser bulk underneath. And no, I do dot have a particularly large
