While I am a fuller framed gal and chose the XXL size, I didn't feel the fit or look was boxy. I got them for spring skiing when the weather isn't cold enough for insulated pants and they will be perfect. Fit is fitted, I ordered the xs and it wouldn't even zip so I was nervous the s wouldn't fit, but luckily it fits perfectly. Waist is 27 in, 5'8 length was just right.
