Young hunters need the support of a great hunting boot just like their mentors. So pick up the Rocky Youth Hunter. This boot has 800 grams of Thinsulate Ultra insulation for exceptional warmth without weight. The durable exterior is a combination of split suede leather with 900 denier nylon.
I bought a pair of these to wear for archery season and BOTH shoes split in the sole in exact same area during the second season. So, in essence, they split within two months of use. Very disappointed.
i bought my first pair of these 5 years ago and im just now ordering new ones. the only part on the boot that wore down was the upper back of the heel where i held to pull on the boot. theyre more comfortable than any tennis shoe i own and i wear them all the time. highly recommend
Your size chart is miss leading. I bought this boot for my 14 month old Grandson. When the boot came in it was about fourteen sizes to big. I have sent it back and am now looking for a boot some where else. Your customer service said you had no boots in toddler sizes.
Bought this boot for my 12yo son. Originally ordered the wrong size by mistake. The company graciously took it back and walked me through the replacement process. Didn't charge me a dime for the hassle. The new pair fits great! My son loves them! And I couldn't ask for better customer service. Buy from this company! It's worth it!
I bought these for my 5 year old son for his first hunting trip with me. They seam to be very comfortable for him and kept his feet warm in 19* weather. I would recommend these boots for anyone that has a young hunter that is wanting to go out and spend time in the outdoors.
My boys love these boots. They say they are very comfortable, almost like wearing tennis shoes. These boots always keep their feet warm and dry in the hunting months. I think they would wear them them 24/7 if they could.
I originally wrote this review in mid-December of 2016. I finally got around to posting it now.
We live in Southwestern, PA (mentioned so you know what type of weather we live in, cool autumns, and often cold and snowy winters. When purchased, our son was 5 years old, around 45 pounds, about 47 inches tall, and very active. We do play a lot (after school, on weekends, after church, anytime we are not at school or work), so he definitely got some use out of these boots.
We bought these almost exactly a year ago for our then 5-year-old kindergartener. He wore them to school every day from mid-December to around the end of April. However, once at school, he always changed out of them and wore his "running" shoes. He also used these as his play outside in the snow boots. Yes, we still do that. He built snowman families, sled rode, and hiked in these boots. And finally, when the colder weather started, around the beginning of December this year (2016), he started wearing them again.
The good: 1. He likes the way they look. 2. He never once had wet feet. 3. He never complained of cold feet (although read below).
The bad (from a father's view point) 1. The soles wore out, literally through three of the tread lugs on the heel of one of the boots into the hollow air pocket above the sole. The exact same thing occurred on the other boot, but it has only worn through on two of the tread lugs. The irritating part about this is that this happened within the first two months of his wearing them. 2. When we would come in from playing outside, I would help him get out of his winter outer layers. This includes his boots. His toes were freezing cold to the touch. 3. When I bought these, I was under the impression that Rocky Bots were made in the U.S.A.. However, I was very disappointed to find that this style/model is Made In China.
bought these as a christmas gift for my grandson, all wrapped, ready for the tree. then he tells his mom the night they're packing for a camping trip that his boots smash his toes !!! needless to say, he got a present early. when he came home after the trip , he couldn't stop telling me how great they were, that the other boys wanted to know where he got them, and his feet were dry and comfy the entire weekend. he is crazy about these boots !!
I have bought MANY pairs of Rocky boots over many years. Love them. My daughter is six and wants to start hunting with me. I figured this would be a good time to get her new boots, as we are leaving for a hunting trip next week. I ordered these boots a half size up and they fit perfectly. However, the product label was sewn upside down on one of the boots, which looks silly. If we didn't need them so soon I would send them back for another pair. She hasn't complained about pain or problems from them being too stiff.
Bought these for my son for the Youth Turkey Hunt in New Mexico. He put a lot of miles on them and climbed 6 Mountains. We hunted 3 days hard and he never complained about his feet hurting. At one point it rained really hard and his boots were wet, you could see the suede was really wet and his feet stayed dry. Thanks Rocky Boots.
Wish you still had snake boots in little kid sizes. I found a pair of 12.5 Rocky Kid Snake boots on Ebay for my 6 year old grandson and love them but could not find size 11 snake boots ANYWHERE for my 4 year old grandson. Apparently Rock Kid snake boots have been discontinued and there is nothing similar to replace them. They were great. All the reviews I read were great. Sure wish they had not been discontinued. I ended up buying my 4 year old grandson Rocky size 11 regular boots which don't come up as high on his leg: would have rather had the snake boots.
