About Minot SCHEELS

SCHEELS first opened in Minot in 1974 as a hardware store at the Burdick and Broadway intersection. In 1980, a second location opened in the Dakota Square Mall, introducing a sporting goods selection and family-friendly entertainment. The hardware store closed in 1993, and since then, the Minot SCHEELS has undergone three major expansions—2008, 2012, and 2022—bringing both Minot SCHEELS locations under one roof and creating a 100,000-square-foot shopping destination.
