Purchased my Dillion a couple weeks ago no hiccups everything went great from a phone call with customer service to the quick updates and swift shipping and tracking number, pretty impressed decided to purchased some other things and same process, I’m pretty happy with my overall experience I only wish one of these stores was in AZ
It's hard to beat a Dillon machine, I bought this for my low volume stuff that would have been overkill to set my 650 up for. If your ever on the fence about ordering a Dillon just jump it's worth every penny.
So far I am very impressed. I am still trying to gather all the components that I need but set this up was much easier than I expected. It’s a very high quality machine and the instructions are just as good. I highly recommend this and ordering from Scheels. The shipping was quick and on time.
I am new to reloading and have the luxury of being trained by a 30 year reloader. He has a Dillon press and recommended Dillon to me also. I have an RL550C and it is awesome. Started saving money day one and my press wil pay for itself in less than 6 months!!
Dillon has amazing customer service and was very helpful in choosing this press. It has worked great so far for 9mm, and I'll be using it for 6.5 Creedmoor soon. Setup was fairly easy, instructions were thorough. Can't go wrong here!
I've pumped out a thousand rounds of 9mm with the Dillon 550C without a problem. This is my first progressive press and I'm very impressed with it. Sure alot easier to pump out the ammo, than with a single stage. If you're going through alot of ammo; get yourself a dillon. You'll be glad you did.
I have been reloading for about 50 years now and have tried many different brands. I settled on Dillon progressive reloaders many years ago as the best I could find. In fact my current 550 and the one before that I passed on to my son in law were built on upgraded Dillon 450's. I decided to treat myself to a new 550C and shopped around. Scheels had a great price and unlike a lot of others they were in stock. About 30 minutes to set up and it is running like a fine swiss watch.
My first press. A friend helped me put it together. I was very surprised how easily it went together. Knowing how obviously helps. Still It wasn't difficult. A couple of adjustments and we were cranking out 223.
I looked really forward to getting this press as I had been using the RCBS Rock Chucker Press for years. I am so disappointed in the Dillon Press. It has so many problems. First, the hinge on the spent primer chute is a cotter pin that sticks, and spent primers go everywhere but the bin. Powder consistently spills especially with fine ball powders and stick powders. The fine powders clog the powder funnel and the stick powders cause the funnel to stick, thus backing up the system and dropping 2 loads at once and spilling. What a mess. For the money, Dillon should take more pride in their system and engineer something better. I have searched on You tube and see I am not having isolated problems. Sad, sad, sad Dillon.
Very satisfied with this machine. The assembly / operating instructions are very well illustrated and descriptive. The ease of operation is the ' cherry on top'. I highly recommend Dillon, and their quality
