Coarse grind seemed to go alright. On the fine (second) grind I started to get backing up in the grinder head and buildup of uncut tendons etc. on the plate. It ran through 35 lbs of venison in no time. It is quieter than expected. One key thing to remember is to have the meat very chilled, shy of frozen, and it grinds nicely. I even chilled the auger and blades for the second grinds. This will be great for 2-3 deer a year. Loved having the dual grind and foot pedal attachments. Also used it to stuff one pound bags and it was adequate. Wish it had a little bit wider intake opening, but I’m sure larger models do.
