SIMPLE FORMULAS
ADULTS:
CLASSIC SKI length calculation: BODY SIZE (cm) + 20-30 cm = SKI LENGTH
SKATING SKI length calculation: BODY SIZE (cm) + 10 - 15 cm = SKI LENGTH
Cross Country skis for kids will range between 110 - 170 cm. It is better to choose a slightly shorter version, especially if the child is a beginner.
SIMPLE FORMULAS
KIDS:
CLASSIC SKI length calculation: BODY SIZE (cm) + 10 cm ~ (For advanced kids take the body size and add 10 - 20 cm.)
SKATING SKI length calculation: BODY SIZE (cm) - 5 to -10 cm ~ (For advanced kids take the body size and add 5 - 10 cm)
JUST A NOTE:
Longer skis are generally faster than shorter ones. If you are between sizes think about your skiing ability. If you are a beginner you will likely want to choose a shorter option. If you are a more experienced skier you will generally want the longer option.
