WEIGHT LOAD
The heavier the weight load is, the larger snowshoes you'll need. (TOTAL WEIGHT / WEIGHT LOAD = your body weight + whatever you carry with you.)
TERRAIN CONDITIONS
The drier the snow is, the LONGER the snowshoes needed to stay afloat on the snow.
GENDER
You do NOT need to choose women's specific models unless you have a petite figure.
