On May 19, 2021, SCHEELS announced plans to open its first Arizona location come Fall of 2023. “After studying the Phoenix market for several years, we are thrilled to be part of Chandler Fashion Center,” stated SCHEELS CEO Steve M. Scheel. Once open, the new Arizona SCHEELS will offer 220,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space for the entire family to enjoy.

When the new Arizona SCHEELS opens, customers will enjoy a variety of attractions, specialty shops, and boutique fashion—making it truly more than just a sporting goods store. Plus, the trained experts and associates will be ready to provide customers with high-quality customer service and knowledgeable advice.

Chandler SCHEELS will feature a wide variety of fun, family-friendly entertainment including a Ferris wheel, 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium, a wildlife mountain, and Fuzziwig’s Candy Shop. Customers will be able to relax and enjoy a meal at our restaurant, Ginna’s Café, or challenge family and friends to competitive fun with the arcade games and sports simulators.

With 75 specialty shops, Chandler SCHEELS will be a retail destination for outdoor enthusiasts, sports fans, and fashion-forward customers alike. From hunting and fishing gear to athletic clothing and sports equipment, customers will be able to shop from the best brands in the industry for all their hobbies. Plus, Chandler SCHEELS will feature a service shop to help repair and extend the life of your sporting goods equipment.

Upon opening, Chandler SCHEELS will be the company’s 32nd location and will employ over 400 people.
