Sierra Sports Master Pistol Bullets Jacketed Hollow Point

*Note: This is not loaded ammunition.

Sierra SportsMaster bullets are primarily for hunting and are available in Jacketed Hollow Cavity (JHC), Jacketed Hollow Point (JHP), Round Nose (RN) and Jacketed Soft Point (JSP) design configu-rations. SportsMaster bullets intended for use in revolvers and rifles with tubular magazines have a cannelure to facilitate roll crimping. For many years, hunters have carried handguns in holsters or backpacks as backup guns to dispatch game downed by rifle fire and provide safety around the campsite. However, within the past half-century, hunting with only a handgun has become a very popular sport, not only for small game and medium game like deer and antelope, but for large game like elk and moose, and even dangerous game like wild boar and large bear. SportsMaster bullets are engineered to provide consistent, reliable expansion over a wide range of velocities. The featured Power Jacket insures unform expansion along serrated lines. This directly results in more consistent weight retention and the maximum energy transfer. This is not loaded ammunition. Made In United States of America.

The 90 grain #8100 was originally introduced in the hollow cavity (JHC) design in 1970, but the design was changed in 1983 to the current hollow point (JHP) to enhance feeding in semi-auto pistols. Sierra's Power Jacket with skives enhances expansion in varmints at handgun velocities. Pure lead is used for the core to give good penetration with excellent expansion. The 90 grain #8100 is an excellent bullet for the 380 ACP and can be loaded in that cartridge to excellent velocities for high energy release and effective self defense.

Note: There are many different 9mm cartridges in the world, but not all of them use bullets of .355 inch diameter. Be sure that the handgun cartridge for which you are loading uses .355 inch diameter bullets.
