Bontrager Schrader and Presta Valve Bike Tubes

1643-STND-S-P

Bontrager Standard Bike Tubes feature 0.9mm wall thickness for a great balance of weight and durability. These premium Bontrager tubes are available with Schrader valves and Presta valves in a variety of sizes. When it's time for a new bike tube, choose the Bontrager Standard Tubes for reliable quality and durability.

Tube Size:

  • Stem Length - Wheel Diameter x Width Range
  • 700c Tires vary in width from 23-40mm
  • 26, 29, 27.5 Inch tires vary in width from 1-3 inches

Size Conversions:

  • 27" x 1.125 - 1.25 = 700 x 28-32C
  • 27" x 1.375 - 1.75 = 700 x 35-44C
  • (1-1/8 - 1-1/4) = (1.125 - 1.25)
  • (1-3/8 - 1-3/4) = (1.375 - 1.75)

Valve Types:

Schrader Valves:

  • Used on lower pressure tires, such as children's bikes and mountain bikes. The Schrader valve is also used in automotive tires.

Presta Valves:

  • Slimmer stem often threaded to accept a locking ring, which holds the stem securely in the rim. Used for higher-pressure tires such as those on a road bike. To inflate and deflate the Presta valve, the top section must be unscrewed, allowing the core of the valve to be free to move open and close.
  • Presta valves vary in length depending on your rim's depth. The valve stem needs to be long enough to extend through the rim hole and be able to connect the air pump when the tube is fully inflated.

Features

  • Presta Valve - Stem Lengths: 48mm (Standard), 60mm, 80mm
  • Schrader Valve - Stem Lengths: 36mm (Standard), 48mm
  • Stem length depends on the depth of your rim.

Specs

  • The first value in the tube size refer's to the stem length in millimeters.
